Chocolate Flapjacks

Naturally gluten free and a great snack for kids.

Ingredients:

200g butter

100g soft brown sugar (or you can use white)

3 tablespoons golden syrup

350g oats

200g chocolate


Melt the butter, sugar and syrup in a pan until everything has melted. Take off the heat and add this liquid to the oats. Stir well and bake in a square tin (20cm x 20cm) which is lined with baking paper for 20 minutes at 160 degrees.

As soon as the flapjacks come out of the oven, before they set, cut them into squares.

Melt the chocolate in a bowl over a pan of simmering water and swirl over the flapjacks.

Leave them to set before you get them out of the tin.
